With All Your Heart

When we talk about our "hearts" we're often talking about our feelings and emotions. But when Jesus said to love God with all your heart, He was talking about much more than just your feelings. The Greek and Hebrew words for "heart" that we find in Scripture (specifically, in Mark 12:30 and Deuteronomy 6:5) can mean, "inner self." There's a whole world inside each one of us that no one sees but us and God. We're not just supposed to love God with our actions, but also with everything that's inside of us! Love the Lord your God with all your heart.
